On the back of the hugely successful Blastonbury we felt almost duty bound to bring you a second installment of this brilliant metal fest. Headliners will be the ever-popular Evil Scarecrow, with their unique brand of lyrically tongue in cheek metal. They’ve had some great reviews as well….. “…“Morbid Witch” in particular is a bloody infectious number, which has had me cackling “Morbid Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitch” under my breath like some Special Brew soaked vagrant for days.” Live4Metal. Nothing can really prepare you for the live Evil Scarecrow experience. They have played to captivated and robot dancing audiences at venues as famous as the Main Hall at Nottingham Rock City, and ably supported acts as well known as Amen, Cradle of Filth and the infamous GWAR!.“Praise be, then, for Evil Scarecrow…Novelty bands don't last long on stage, everyone's tired of the joke by the third song in. Evil Scarecrow break the mould by being damned competent musicians as well as piss funny.” The Rock City Review. Fri 17th July: Acid Pope Reunion. £4/16+/8pm
Many moons ago, an alliance was formed between 5 mighty warlords (drinking partners). Two wielding great ax's (Guitars) one, a mighty hammer of war (Bass) another a great spiked club (Drums) and finally, a great sword of STEEL (Vocals).
They took it upon themselves to join the great brethren such as MANOWAR and IRON MAIDEN in the war against FALSE METAL (Nu-metal 'hardcore' etc) and all POSEURS (kind of self-explanatory). At first their bond was weak. It took many winters (one) to mould their power into what it is now. Using their mighty weapons forged of STEEL, ACID POPE have penned several Battle Hymns (songs) which are available for download to all WARRIORS OF STEEL (anyone who isn't a POSEUR). Soon, the world will tremble beneath the steeds of these great warriors. Stay true my brothers. Stay heavy.
BRING FORTH THE STEEL! With the return of the bald & slightly tubby warbler Uzi, The Warriors of steel are destined to return in the wake of the new year with a new list of battle hymns and are aiming to go that extra step to conquer their native land of England. With the opportunities available and the drinking qualities of this band, anything is possible!BUY TICKETS
